Curated News Feeds allow an agent to filter which news feed events are visible to the subscriber.
Curated News Feeds
A news feed can be flagged as Curated so long as the following conditions are met:
- The news feed's subscriber is a VOW/Portal user.
- The user changing the
Curatedstatus is an agent operating under a Private role.
If the Curated flag is changed from false to true, all events
in the news feed for the subscriber retain their Approved status of true.
If the Curated flag is changed from true to false, all events
in the news feed with an Approved status of false will become true.
Moreover, since news feed events have a global approval status
for each subscriber, all events for the listing (or other data point) in question
will become approved across all news feeds.
Event Approval Status
News feed events have a global approval status for each subscriber. Because of this, when an event is approved, all events for the listing (or other data point) will become approved across all news feeds. Moreover, all future events for the listing will also be automatically approved for the subscriber.
The Approved flag for each event follows the same criteria for modification as the Curated flag for news feeds:
- The news feed the event is under belongs to a VOW/Portal user.
- The user changing the
Approvedstatus is an agent operating under a Private role.
Notifications
The News Feed Schedule for curated feeds is adhered to, but the notification may be delivered to the consumer directly, or to the agent first, as follows:
- When a new, unapproved event is added to the news feed, the agent will recieve an E-mail notification immediately to review and approve events.
- When a new, approved event is added to the news feed, a notification will be sent directly to the subscriber.
- When an unapproved event is changed to approved, a notification will be sent to the subscriber.
Note that, for the subscriber, the NotificationMethods for the news feed will be respected.
